Aerobatics Displays
Aerobatics or stunt flying has thrilled crowds ever since the Wright Brothers made their historic flight at Kitty Hawk North Carolina in 1903. What pilots can make an aeroplane do today is astounding. Jetstream Australias aerobatics pilot flies the Russian Yak-55M, which is a purpose built, unlimited aerobatics aircraft and the only one currently in Australia. Our Pilot is Bruce Cunningham who has been flying aerobatics for some 15 years. Bruce has competed at a state and national level for many years.
The Yak-55M definitely has a presence when flying a display overhead. Its big, loud and trails white smoke during the aerobatics routine. An aerobatics display will have everyone in the crowd and for miles around looking skywards. The display runs for about 12 minutes and incorporates all of the classic aerobatics maneuvers such as loops, spins & rolls. The display also includes some high G-force maneuvers that have to be seen to be believed. Jetstream Australia can also arrange for air to ground communication to be channeled through your PA system. This gives the audience an added thrill as they listen to the pilot talk them through the maneuvers and hear him grunt and groan as the g-forces take their toll.
Beaches are particularly well suited to aerobatics displays. An aerobatics display along the beach combined with a skywriter tracing out your message in the sky will draw eyes skyward for miles around.
